What we stand for

Rapport Housing & Care is one of the leading providers of housing and care to older people in the south east. With several locations across the county, we always have exciting job opportunities available, with the opportunity to progress, if you want to.

Our Philosophy

We want everyone who meets us, no matter in what context, to experience our friendly, caring, compassionate philosophy, which runs through our whole organisation. We are a leading housing and care provider in the south-east, flexible and responsive to the needs of people in later life.

Our Values;

Compassion: behaving in a manner that treats people with respect and dignity, listening to what they say and responding;
Openness: Offering high quality services that are adaptable, flexible and that meet the changing needs of service users in a manner that offers genuine choice;
Integrity: acting at all times in an honest and straightforward way with all those with whom we come into contact;
People focussed: reflecting the ethos inherent in the organisation’s philosophy.

Rapport Housing & Care are very proud of our staff and invest in them to succeed. Care is a challenging and rewarding career, we recognise that starting a new job can be both exciting and daunting, and so we ensure all new staff have a buddy to support them to settle into their role with confidence. We support staff to progress their career and have a fully funded apprenticeship programme. When you join our team, we’ll support you to develop your confidence as well as prepare you for your next career move.

Volunteering With Us

Our dedicated team of volunteers provide invaluable support to both our residents and staff, bringing their experiences and interests and assisting with a variety of things from sitting with our residents and reading the paper right through to running activities. How much time you can give and how often is totally up to you, even an hour every couple of weeks could make a big difference. If you’d like to find out more, or to apply, contact angela.green@rapporthc.co.uk.

Why we love working at Rapport...

“I joined Rapport Housing & Care in the capacity of housing support worker at Rosewell House in June 2021. More and more I found myself assisting the housing officers with the work they had left over at the end of the day and over time I thought this was something I’d like to progress to. As soon as I mentioned that I wanted to take these steps, I was supported by both the head of housing and the learning and development team. I’ve now been at Meadow View Court as the Housing Officer since June 2022, it was a bit of a challenge undertaking two courses and starting a new role at the same time, but it was a good challenge and I’m looking forward to developing my knowledge in the role.”

Nick Stapleton,
Housing Officer

“Working at Barnes Lodge is very much like one big family. I absolutely love knowing we are all doing something positive and making our residents happy, especially during the pandemic.
 I have been in social care for 25 years, I love the staff and we are such a strong team. When I see our residents happy, that means the world.”

Nicole Mercer,
Care Team Leader
