In keeping with our philosophy, Rogers House conveys a warm and welcoming atmosphere, from the moment you walk in. The home provides care and support for older people within a family friendly environment.

Situated in a lovely residential suburb of Gillingham, the purpose-built care home has a great reputation in the local area and has developed some exceptional relationships within the community.

Residents dine together in the cheerful and airy dining room and many like to relax with the morning paper in the bright conservatory. There are plenty of comfortable homely areas for relaxing, as well as a purpose-built activity room. We are also lucky enough to have ample outside space, including a paved seating area, plenty of grass and lots of beautiful plants.

We have a great team of staff, many of whom have been with us for a long time, which we believe contributes a great deal to our homely atmosphere. Our cat, Rusty, certainly helps too. So do call in for a cup of tea and to see for yourself what our home is like.

As well as our excellent outside links, we have lots going on inside too. Our activity coordinators support residents to devise and implement a varied calendar of activities and events, which offers something for everyone.

Activities vary but can include crafting, baking and animal therapy visits, amongst others. We regularly enjoy outings, whether that is simply a walk in the Bluebells or a trip to the coast.

Every Monday, our dining room is transformed into a pre-school for our weekly toddler group, which our residents absolutely love. We also have a great relationship the local grammar school, who often invite us in for tea.

Our activity coordinators support residents during one to one time too, assisting and encouraging them to continue with their own hobbies.

Feedback has told us that food is incredibly important to our residents, which is why we think it is vital that we offer choice at mealtimes. Residents are given a choice of a cooked or continental breakfast followed by two choices at lunch and two choices at dinner, with a selection of desserts available at both.

Throughout the day, hot drinks are provided and staff are happy to prepare snacks. Visitors will be offered refreshments and can access facilities to prepare their own meals and snacks, should they wish.

Here at Rogers House our kitchen team are famous for their delicious homemade biscuits, just ask any of our residents or their relatives! Our chef also makes the most beautiful birthday cakes for our residents.

We also like to incorporate food into our activities, regularly holding tea parties, taster evenings and alfresco dining in the summer.

Our catering staff are well-trained and can cater for a diverse range of dietary requirements, contact the home to discuss your needs and we will do all we can to help.
