But our team has also invested a great deal of energy and creativity into creating an inspiring home for the residents. Installing focal interest points and scenes in otherwise ordinary areas, gives residents something to see and touch when strolling in the corridors.
Bright and airy dining rooms provide a welcoming space for residents to socialise and dine together, whilst the cosy seating areas are great for afternoon games or catching up on TV. Our spacious garden and beach hut are perfect for residents and guests wanting to make the most of the summer months.

Activities play an important role in life at Edward Moore House. Our activity coordinators support the residents to determine a calendar of activities and outings, including crafting, baking, reminiscence and flower arranging. When the weather warms up, residents enjoy outings to local events and places of interest, including the local coast.
Our activity coordinator also supports residents with one to one time and assistance to pursue their hobbies.

We believe that mealtimes are about more than just the food you eat, so for us, they provide a social experience and the opportunity to chat with friends.
We are committed to ensuring our residents enjoy nutritious homecooked meals that are seasonal, varied and their choice.
To start their day, residents are offered a continental or cooked breakfast, comprising cereals, toast and a Full English. A choice is available at lunchtime, options vary but can include casseroles, pies and roasts, as well as an array of desserts. In the evenings, residents can choose from a variety of savouries, including soups, scones, sandwiches and salads, in addition to a choice of desserts. Snacks and hot and cold drinks are available throughout the day.

If you like to get out and about, Edward Moore House is in an excellent location. The home is conveniently situated less than a mile from Gravesend town centre, with amenities even closer.
There is plenty to do in Gravesend for residents and their visitors, including an evening at the Woodville Halls theatre or a day browsing the shops. There are ample bars, cafes and restaurants and Bluewater Shopping Centre is just a short drive away.
There is easy access to the main motorways within Kent and local buses can take you to Dartford, Bluewater and Medway. The high-speed train service is accessible from Gravesend, which can travel to London in under 25 minutes.
