Brownies Visit Barnes Lodge Care Home

Residents of the Tudeley Lane care home in Tonbridge welcomed the local Brownie group to their home on Wednesday evening for a joyful intergenerational visit.

Working towards earning their support in the community badge, youngsters at the Tonbridge 6th Brownie Group made their first visit to the care home residents this week.

During the visit, which they hope will be the first of many, old and young alike had fun getting stuck into some crafting, playing tabletop games, and getting to know one another.

Nicky Pett, General Manager of Barnes Lodge said: “We absolutely loved having the Brownies come and visit us and we can’t wait to have them back. The residents thoroughly enjoyed their company and even some of the quieter residents came out of their shell.

“Intergenerational relationships are really important to us here at Barnes Lodge, we have a great ongoing relationship with the local primary school, and so we’re excited to see what we can develop with the Brownie group.”
