Rogers House Residents Enjoy Egg-cellent Easter Weekend

Residents of Rogers House Residential Care enjoyed a cracking long weekend, full of egg-citing Easter activities.

It was a hoppy Easter at the Wigmore residential care home, as residents enjoyed an array of seasonal crafts, getting into the spirit of spring and the Bank Holiday weekend.

The weekend’s activities started with the annual tradition of fashioning their own Easter bonnets. Using plenty of brightly coloured flowers, eggs, and fluffy chicks, the residents crafted their very own eye-catching pieces of spring headwear.

The residents also made some eggs-tra special seasonal table displays, vases full to the brim of spring flowers and pastel coloured craft eggs, which would be used to adorn the dining room tables on Easter Sunday.

On Easter Sunday, the residents tucked into a traditional Sunday lunch, whilst sporting their bonnets and admiring one another’s handiwork.

Debbie Padmore, Activity Coordinator at Rogers House said: “We had lots of activities going on in the lead up to and over the Easter weekend, the residents really enjoy crafts so there was a lot of focus on that, everyone had great fun.”
