Easter Bunny Brings Smiles to Barnes Lodge Care Home

The granddaughter of a staff member brought some Easter cheer to Barnes Lodge at the weekend, delivering some eggs-tra special treats to everyone at the Tudeley Lane care home.

Armed with her mini shopping trolley and an abundance of Easter eggs, three-year-old Kayla, who is the granddaughter of Social Activities Facilitator, Lisa, took on the role of the Easter bunny on Sunday, as she made it her mission to deliver some spring smiles.

Hopping to it, Kayla made her way around the home, giving out Easter eggs to all the staff and residents. As you can imagine, the tiny tot received quite the reception, looking completely adorable as she toddled around the halls with her trolley. Kayla also joined the residents for a game of giant beach ball in the lounge.

Nicky Pett, General Manager of Barnes Lodge said: “Kayla’s Easter visit certainly put a smile on everyone’s faces, the residents in particular love to have visits from children, so it was really special. They are hoping she’ll come back to see them again soon.”
