Rapport Residents Enjoy Mum-entous Afternoon Tea Celebrations

Residents across Rapport Housing & Care’s residential care homes and extra care housing schemes enjoyed a Mothers’ Day to remember, alongside their loved ones.

Mum was the word at Rogers House in Wigmore and Watling Court in Gravesend, as the residents were invited to celebrate the mums amongst them with a special celebratory afternoon tea.

At Rogers House, activity staff laid the tables with the finest china and bright, fresh Daffodils, as the ladies tucked into scrumptious pink cupcakes from the brimming cake stands and hot cups of tea. The ladies were also given small favour style gifts to take away with them.

At Watling Court, a delicious afternoon tea was on the menu, complete with finger sandwiches, scones, and cakes, as staff hosted a celebration for the residents and their families, to celebrate the mums amongst them. Some of the families added to the occasion, with a celebratory glass of fizz, it was Mothers’ Day after all!

Gemma Phillips, Housing Officer at Watling Court said: “The afternoon tea was our gift to our residents and their families, from us, the staff.

“It was absolutely wonderful to see a full dining room and so many residents enjoying quality time with their loved ones, the afternoon was definitely a great success!”
