Rogers House Residents Relish Retail Therapy

Residents of Rogers House Residential Care Home in Wigmore spent a day at their local shopping centre, on the hunt for some bargains.

Keen to switch up their wardrobes ready for spring, a group of the ladies at Rogers House enjoyed a day out with staff at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre.

With sunnier days hopefully not so far away, the ladies spent a morning browsing the shops and treating themselves to some new clothes and some craft items for their weekly craft club.

After a busy morning of retail therapy, they stopped for a well-earned rest and some lunch, tucking into fish and chips before heading back to Rogers House with their purchases.

Kerry Leverton, Interim Home Manager at Rogers House said: “A few of our residents have been on outings to the shops and to pubs for lunch this week.

“We try to support our residents to get out and about when we can, as it’s nice for them to be able to enjoy a change of scenery.”
