International Day of Charity – Kindness in our Care Homes

Elaine Brazier, an Agency Carer at Rogers House Residential Care Home in Wigmore, has kindly donated lots of activity items to the residents of the home on International Day of Charity.

In an incredibly generous act of kindness, Elaine and her two daughters, Veronica and Lesley, who also work at the home, have made an enormous donation of brand new activity based items for the residents of the Drewery Drive care home.

Amongst the items were various art and craft items for the craft club, DVDs for movie nights and several jigsaw puzzles, as a few of the residents absolutely love doing jigsaws.

Elaine said: “After all the hard times we’ve been through and with the cost of living going up, we just wanted to help keep smiles on the faces of the people we care for.”

Jackie Miles, Home Manager of Rogers House added: “We’re very grateful to Elaine, Veronica and Lesley, for such a generous donation, we have a small budget for activities here at Rogers House so the items will be a wonderful addition to the things we do with the residents day to day.”
