New Exercise Class HIITs the Spot at Meadow View Court

Residents at the Wateringbury extra care housing scheme didn’t let the rising temperatures put them off, as they skipped to the lounge for an exercise class at the weekend.

Working out in the warm weather? No swear for residents at the Orpines scheme, as they kick started their sunny weekend with a gentle group exercise class.

The class will feature part of the regular activity calendar at the housing scheme and is run by Vitality Hub, a local provider which specialises in senior holistic health and training people who are living with chronic illnesses, as well individuals who struggle with everyday movement.

The residents had a great time trying something new and left the session feeling ready for the day and inspired for their next workout.

Nick Stapleton, Housing Officer at Meadow View Court said: “Here at Meadow View Court, we support the residents to implement a calendar of activities that they want to do. As we opened during the pandemic, we’re still putting things into place and learning what works and doesn’t work for the residents.

“We have just launched the exercise classes and the first one went down very well, so it looks like that will be a regular activity.”
