Let’s do Lunch: Canterbury Care Home Residents Enjoy Pub Visit

Making the most of the warmer weather, residents of Connors House Residential Care Home in Canterbury enjoyed an outing to a local pub for lunch.

It was a fun-filled Friday at the Craddock Road residential care home, as the residents headed out to their local high street for a spot of lunch.

With outings having been limited for the past couple of years, due to the restrictions in place for vulnerable people, the residents were delighted to be able to soak up the lovely spring weather and enjoy a meal out with one another.

The classic Friday favourite, Fish and chips and a nice hot cup of tea, was a popular choice amongst the hungry residents, as they relaxed and made the most of their afternoon out.

Christine Devlin, General Manager of Connors House said: “We love to take the residents out and about when we can, but outings have been limited since the pandemic, so it is wonderful to be doing these again, especially as the weather is improving.

“The residents had a lovely afternoon out and were thrilled to tell us all about it when they arrived home. We are all looking forward to some more outings in the coming months.”
