Wigmore Care Home Residents Enjoy Cracking Week of Easter Activities
Residents of Rogers House Residential Care Home in Wigmore made the most of the long sunny Bank Holiday weekend with an array of Easter activities.
With the glorious spring sunshine spreading joy amongst us all, residents of Rogers House were invited to enjoy plenty of Egg-citing Easter events over the long weekend.
The hoppy happenings kicked off with a coffee morning, where residents and visitors got together in the dining room to tuck into some coffee and cake. Whilst enjoying some tasty treats, the group were also raising money for the residents’ amenities fund with a raffle and a sale of some homemade goods, like knitted egg cup hats and baby bonnets.
Making the most of the high temperatures, the residents gathered in the garden for some games on Saturday, before getting together in the activity room on Easter Sunday for a very special afternoon tea. The table was decorated in an Easter theme and the residents donned their handmade Easter bonnets, as they spent the afternoon sampling a traditional Simnel cake and lots of other seasonal spring delicacies.
Jackie Miles, Home Manager of Rogers House said: “The activity team ensured there were plenty of fun activities on the cards for the residents over the Easter weekend and everyone had a wonderful time. The weather was absolutely beautiful too which just made it all even more enjoyable.”
