Care Home Residents Hop to it for Annual Egg Hunt

They say don’t put all your eggs in one basket, but residents of Edward Moore House Residential Care Home in Gravesend did just that this week, when they were invited on an egg-citing alfresco egg hunt.

Keen to give the residents a very hoppy Easter, staff of the Trinity Road residential care home put on a cracking Easter activity in the form of a traditional chocolate egg hunt around the garden.

Thankfully, the weather has remained warm and sunny, so armed with their baskets and a spring in their step, the residents headed outside to hunt high and low in search of the many chocolate treats that staff had hidden away. And staff ensured no one missed out on the seasonal fun, taking each resident outside and helping where needed.

Melanie Martin, Deputy Manager of Edward Moore House said: “We have an egg hunt every Easter and it’s always a lot of fun, you’re never too old for chocolate after all!

“We’re lucky to have a very big garden here at Edward Moore House, with lots of hiding places, so the residents had a great time enjoying a bit of friendly competition with one another and filling their baskets with lots of eggs that they’ll be able to enjoy over the Easter weekend.”
