Rogers House Residents Shop ‘til They Drop
A spring shopping trip was on the cards for some of the ladies of Rogers house Residential Care Home this week, when staff accompanied them to the nearby shopping centre.
With the seasons changing, it’s the perfect time to refresh your wardrobe or add some accessories, so with that in mind, the ladies of the Wigmore care home decided they’d like to take a trip to the nearby Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre.
Accompanied by the home’s activity coordinators, they enjoyed browsing the shops and looking at the new season’s clothes offerings. After making their purchases, they’d worked up quite an appetite.
Before heading back home for the afternoon, they made a stop so they could rest for a while as well as enjoying a spot of lunch.
Jackie Miles, Home Manager of Rogers House said: “Whilst group activities form many of our daily activities within Rogers House, we believe one to one time is important too. So, it is great to be able to take the residents out when we can, whether that is for a walk, to the shops or for a spot of lunch.
“The ladies had a lovely time enjoying some retail therapy and were very pleased with their purchases. They were certainly ready to put their feet up for a while when they got back!”
