Mum’s the Word at Rogers House

Residents of Rogers House Residential Care Home in Wigmore enjoyed a lovely Mothers’ Day treat at the weekend, in the form of a special afternoon tea.

Decorating the table with the finest china and some seasonal blooming Daffodils, staff invited the ladies of the home to a celebratory afternoon tea, to mark a very special day in the calendar for the mums.

Alongside visits from their children, the ladies enjoyed tucking into some tasty cupcakes, with plenty of cups of tea, as they chatted about being a mum and shared memories amongst the group.

Jackie Miles, Home Manager of Rogers House said: “Our residents love nothing more than relaxing with an afternoon tea and what better occasion to celebrate with a lovely spread, than Mothers’ Day.

“The group had a wonderful afternoon chatting about their families and sharing memories between them of what it means to them to be a mum, it was a lovely occasion.”
