Tonbridge Care Home Residents Relish Festive Fun
It’s been a Merry Christmas indeed for residents at Barnes Lodge Care Home in Tonbridge, where a combination of festive activities and kind donations have kept spirits high.
Despite the worry of Omicron and rising cases, residents of the Tudeley Lane care home were able to enjoy a fun family Christmas together, with plenty of seasonal entertainment taking place.
Ahead of the big day, the residents enjoyed a Christmas party, complete with a buffet, bar trolley and some very merry music. Crackers were pulled and both staff and residents enjoyed some well-deserved fun.
Over the festive period, residents and staff of the home also received some kind donations from the local community, including some very generous gifts from Waitrose, comprising mince pies, a stollen loaf and several other festive treats.
The local school made sure to think of their friends at Barnes Lodge too, as they dropped off some handmade cards, with seasonal messages. The children have been unable to visit their friends at the care home for some time now and are hoping to be able to resume their relationship in 2022.
Following a normal Christmas day filled with presents, turkey and terrible TV, the residents rang in the New Year together with a buffet, party and of course a tipple of sherry!
