It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year at Connors House
Staff ensured residents had a tree-mendous Christmas, filled with plenty of festive fun at Connors House Residential Care Home in Canterbury.
Residents of the Craddock Road care home didn’t let Omicron spoil their Christmas, as they enjoyed a month of seasonal activities, in the run up to Christmas.
Representatives from the residents’ local Emmanuel Church brought a seasonal service to the residents this year, inviting the residents to join in singing some carols and hear Christmas readings from the comfort of their living room.
Jon, who often visits the residents for music sessions, put on a special Christmas activity, again, singing some Christmas favourites with the residents alongside his guitar.
On Christmas Day itself, the day is much the same as everyone else’s. Staff hand deliver gifts and the kitchen team prepare a delicious turkey lunch, with all the trimmings. The bar trolley does the rounds too, so residents can enjoy a glass of traditional sherry, or two.
Christine Devlin, Home Manager of Connors House said: “Once again, it has been a difficult year but despite that, staff have pulled together to support one another through it. They have given the residents a wonderful Christmas period and it’s been lovely to see the fun activities going on.”
