School Delivers Christmas Cheer to Tonbridge Care Home Residents

This time of year is all about kindness and goodwill and pupils of Tonbridge Grammar School certainly delivered that, when they sent some Christmas cards and letters to their local care home.

Residents of Barnes Lodge Care Home in Tudeley Lane, Tonbridge, were delighted to receive some Christmas cards and letters from some local school children last week.

The surprise delivery certainly brought some Christmas spirit to the home, as the residents spent an afternoon reading their merry mail and getting into the mood of the upcoming festivities.

Nicky Pett, General Manager of Barnes Lodge said: “It was very kind of the pupils of Tonbridge Grammar School to think of us, at this time of the year especially.

“Handwritten letters are very special and not many people send or receive them anymore, so our residents thoroughly enjoyed spending the afternoon reading them.”
