Extra Care Residents Enjoy Treemendous Christmas Crafting

In a bid to spruce up their tables for Christmas, residents of Watling Court Extra Care Housing Scheme in Gravesend created some fabulously festive floral centerpieces.

The trees are all up and the festive fun has begun at the Ifield Way housing scheme, where residents have been busy crafting some candle centrepieces to adorn their tables.

Armed with everything from dried fruits and flowers to pinecones and baubles, the crafty residents spent a morning creating their displays, using a log of wood as a base. They sipped cups of tea and chatted about Christmases gone by and those yet to come, as they carefully put together the displays.

The residents were thrilled with their finished centrepieces and will use them as decoration throughout the month.

Helen Goulding, Housing Officer at Watling Court said: “We get so excited about Christmas here at Watling Court and last year, we missed out on all our usual craft activities and outings, so it’s wonderful to be able to get together again and do the things we enjoy, we’re all looking forward to some festive fun over the coming weeks.”
