Extra Care Residents Light up Their Christmas with Visit to Wisley

Residents of Watling Court Extra Care Housing Scheme in Gravesend got into the spirit of Christmas with a trip to the light trail at RHS Wisley.

Excited to be going on outings together again, residents of the Ifield Way housing scheme boarded the minibus for the journey to Wisley, where an illuminated festive trail awaited them.

Before heading out in the cold, they tucked into a cream tea and a cuppa in the café, with the hope it’d keep them aglow as they took the trail. The light installations and displays along the route were spectacular, with plenty to look at as they made their way along.

The residents also enjoyed a spot of seasonal shopping in the garden centre, getting some of their Christmas shopping checked off the list.

Helen Goulding, Housing Officer at Watling Court said: “We absolutely love Christmas here at Watling Court, we usually go out on shopping trips, festive lunches and to watch the pantomime.

“Last year, we missed out on all of those things, so it’s very exciting to be celebrating the season together again.”
