Friday Calls for Fish & Chips at Gravesend Care Home

Friday lunch times call for a tasty treat of fish and chips for residents of Edward Moore House Residential Care Home in Gravesend.

Most of us will agree, you can’t beat a good old-fashioned chippy tea on a Friday lunchtime and that’s no different for the residents at the Trinity Road care home.

It’s one of the nation’s favourite dishes and it’s always best served in newspaper with plenty of salt and vinegar, so that’s just how the staff served it up.

Residents were delighted with their nostalgic lunch and as they tucked in, they reminisced with one another about their memories of the evocative and iconic dish.

Chris Hutchinson, General Manager of Edward Moore House said: “You can’t beat the classic fish and chips on a Friday and this week, we decided to serve it in a fun way for the residents, as a parcel they could unwrap and enjoy from the paper.

“Fish and chips has long been a firm family favourite so it stirred up a lot of memories for many of the residents.”
