Care Home Residents Make Masks, but not Those Kind of Masks!
This week’s crafting activity saw the residents at Rogers House Residential Care Home in Wigmore making masks, but not the Covid kind!
When we think of making masks, we think of sewing the kind that have been keeping us safe for the past 18 months, however this week, residents at the Drewery Drive residential care home unleashed their creativity with a different kind of mask.
Using plenty of coloured paints and glitter and some blank cardboard cutouts, the residents created their very own theatrical masks, each telling a story of their own.
Jackie Miles, Home Manager of Rogers House said: “Our residents love their craft activities, so our activity team are always trying and think of some innovative and inspiring ideas for them to try their hand at.
“Last week we made our own decorative canvases and this week, we had a go at decorating the masks, they had great fun coming up with ideas and seeing their themes come to life.”
