Gravesend Care Home Residents Enjoy Getting Back out and About

With summer in full swing, Kay Goodall, a resident at Edward Moore House Residential Care Home in Gravesend, enjoyed an outing to the local park.

The weather has been wonderful lately and finally, our care home residents can get out and about to enjoy it, so with that in mind, Christine Boswell, Activity Coordinator at Edward Moore House, decided to take Kay out for some one to one time.

Kay’s only relatives live in Australia, so when restrictions eased and the other residents could welcome visitors back, Kay couldn’t. Christine thought she deserved an afternoon out, so she took her to the Promenade for a stroll and a cuppa in the café.

She had a lovely time enjoying the flowers and the views across the river, before enjoying a well-deserved rest and cup of tea in the café.

Christine said: “Kay doesn’t have visitors, so I thought it would be nice for her to get out for the afternoon, the Prom is lovely on a sunny day, so we had a great time strolling round and enjoying the weather.”
