Tonbridge Care Home Residents Enjoy Stroll in the sun
Making the most of the recent glorious sunshine, residents of Barnes Lodge Care Home in Tonbridge decided to take a walk to the nearby stream.
Surrounded by greenery and beautiful scenery, residents of the Tudeley Lane care home are perfectly located for a summer walk, so when the weather picked up and restrictions were relaxed, that was just what they did.
Armed with a picnic blanket and some cold drinks, accompanied by staff, the residents set off on their short walk to the local stream, where they relaxed with a cold drink and enjoyed the nature. Spotting birds and appreciating the surrounding plants.
Nicky Pett, General Manager of Barnes Lodge said: “During the pandemic our residents were stuck inside for such a long time and whilst we have a lovely garden here, it is not quite the same as being able to go out for walk.
“Since Covid-19 restrictions eased and the weather greatly improved, our residents have been enjoying getting out for some gentle exercise and to soak up the sun, making the most of our lovely surroundings. They had a great time on their walk and are hoping to do it again soon for a picnic, if the weather stays nice.”
