Dads Enjoy Gentleman’s Tea at Wigmore Care Home

Gents at Rogers House Residential Care Home in Wigmore proved that afternoon tea isn’t just for the ladies, as they enjoyed a special Father’s Day treat.

Dads at the Drewery Drive care home enjoyed a sweet treat, as well as visits from their loved ones, on Sunday 21st June as they celebrated Father’s Day in style, with an afternoon tea treat.

The gents were given cake stands, filled with plenty of tasty treats, as they spent the drizzly afternoon nattering away with one another and enjoying cups of tea.

Jackie Miles, Home Manager of Rogers House said: “Our ladies regularly enjoy afternoon tea together for birthday celebrations or just as a treat, but the gents don’t often get involved, so we thought it’d be nice to do something just for them, as it was Father’s Day.

“They had a great afternoon so maybe they’ll be joining our tea afternoons more often! After all, what’s not to love about tea and cake?”
