Northfleet Care Home Residents get a Kick out of 2021 Euros

Hoping that England will bring it home this year, residents of Dene Holm Residential Care Home got into the patriotic spirit of the Euros, getting together to watch England’s first game.

Residents of the Northfleet care home kicked off their Sunday with some sport, as they gathered in the lounge to watch England’s match with Croatia on Sunday.

They’d decorated the home with lots of flags and bunting and even had giant inflatable hands and a celebratory air horn to applaud the 1-0 win, not too loud mind!

Christine Hutchinson, General Manager of Dene Holm said: “Lots of our residents are big football fans and even those who aren’t usually interested, had fun watching the first game and really enjoyed getting into the patriotic spirit.

“It’s a great group activity for them to enjoy watching the tournament together, socialising and sharing their opinions, they are all looking forward to the next match!”
