Flower Show fun Comes up Roses at Rogers House Care Home
Ahead of the Chelsea Flower Show next week, residents of Rogers House Residential Care Home enjoyed some flower themed fun at the Drewery Drive care home.
In a bid to brighten up the home and celebrate the upcoming annual flower show, creative residents spent a morning making some floral displays to put in their windows.
Their first task was to paint their favourite spring flowers, which included daffodils, tulips and bluebells, of course, which they cut out and put in the dining room window. Their next task was to take old cards and recycle them into a lovely flower display, which they also popped in the window for passers by to enjoy.
Jackie Miles, Home Manager of Rogers House said: “Our residents love their craft activities, we like to ensure there is always something new and exciting to do by looking at what is going on in the news and with special events.
“The residents love gardening and flowers so it seemed a great idea to do an activity inspired by the Chelsea Flower Show.”
