Rogers House Care Home Residents Enjoy Egg-cellent Week of Easter Activities

It was a cracking Easter at Rogers House Residential Care Home as residents enjoyed an array of egg-citing themed activities, from crafting to afternoon tea.

Residents of the Wigmore care home kick started their Easter weekend with a seasonal hot cross bun brunch. Staff decorated the activity room with daffodils and dug out the finest china, serving residents tea and buns as they spent the morning nattering away.

Also on the cards was the residents’ annual Easter bonnet competition. Armed with plenty of decorations, the residents got creative as they personalised their bonnets to make them stand out from the rest, ahead of the lunchtime parade on Good Friday.

The fun filled weekend concluded with some spring themed crafting to brighten up the home, using cardboard, buttons, straws and paints, the residents made some lovely and bright flower pots.

Jackie Miles, Home Manager of Rogers House said: “Staff made sure the residents had a lovely Easter weekend, with plenty of varied and fun activities to get involved. There was something to suit everyone and they all had a great time.”
