Gravesend Residents Enjoy a Slice of fun
Residents at Edward Moore House Residential Care Home in Gravesend got stuck into some cheesy fun this week, as they made their own mini pizzas.
Activity staff delivered a snack-tivity that couldn’t be topped at the Trinity Road care home this week, as they invited residents to make their own tasty homemade pizzas.
Provided with a variety of toppings, including the controversial ham and pineapple, and plenty of cheese, residents treated themselves to a mid afternoon snack, as they chatted about their favourite and least favourite toppings.
Christine Boswell, Activity Coordinator at Edward Moore House said: “Cooking is a popular activity with our residents here, as many of them spent many years cooking for their families, so it is great for reminiscence, as well as being therapeutic.
“They love making classics like jam tarts and shortbread biscuits but we also like to mix it up with some more unusual and creative things, the pizzas went down very well.”
