Love is in the air at Dene Holm
A third lockdown isn’t stopping residents at Dene Holm Residential Care Home from celebrating Valentine’s Day, as they’ve been busy prepping the home.
With spring just around the corner and Valentine’s Day creeping up quickly, residents of the Northfleet home have been keeping their spirits up and enjoying some crafting.
The creative residents spent a morning making their own handmade hanging Valentine’s themed decorations. Using cardboard cutouts of hearts, they painted and decorated them all in various colours, then hung them together, adding pom poms and pipe cleaners, or whatever they fancied.
They displayed their finished decorations in the window, hoping to give a bit of Valentine’s cheer to passers by.
Lea-Ann Shaw, Activity Coordinator at Dene Holm said: “Our residents love their craft activities, as it’s something relaxing and therapeutic that they can do together. They are also stimulating, encouraging the use of their hands and creativity, it’s always lovely to see what they create and they can enjoy it long after too.”
