Christmas Visits Commence at Canterbury Care Home

With the Christmas countdown in single figures, our safe and warm indoor visitor booths are up and running and decorated for the festive period.

Residents at Connors House Residential Care Home in Canterbury have been meeting loved ones safely and warmly, in the home’s new internal visitor booths. With winter having arrived quickly and a garden marquee no longer suitable during the cold weather, Rapport Housing & Care’s property team worked quickly to create some warm indoor spaces, to enable safe visiting with social distancing in place.

The home’s staff have made the booths even more inviting by dressing them for Christmas, with decorations, mini trees and artwork created by the residents.

Christine Devlin, Home Manager at Connors House said: “Our marquees worked very well over the summer months but with the arrival of the colder months and no end of the pandemic in sight yet, it was clear we would need to create something new.

“Everyone worked really hard to get these up and running as quickly as possible and in time for Christmas and the feedback has been great, it’s lovely to see families enjoying some time together in a safe environment.”
