It’s a Crafty Christmas at Rogers House
Residents of Rogers House Residential Care Home in Wigmore have been getting into the festive spirit with some Christmas crafting, making handmade decorations to dress their home.
Christmas is just around the corner so residents of Rogers House in Drewery Drive, decided to spruce up their home and make some tree-mendous handmade decorations. Getting into the spirit of the season, the creative residents got together to make some candy cane bunting to adorn their home, enjoying some therapeutic colouring in the process.
They have also been busy making hand painted wooden houses and personalised tree decorations, keen to bring some Christmas joy to a difficult time. As they sipped cups of tea, they chatted about their Christmas family traditions and their favourite things about the festive season. Despite things being a bit different this year, there was still plenty of Christmas spirit in the air, as the group discussed the upcoming celebration.
Jackie Miles, Home Manager of Rogers House commented: “Our residents love their crafts so it’s great to be able to add a festive element this week, as Christmas is quickly approaching.
“We have a number of decorations and trees around the home to bring some festive cheer and the residents’ handmade decorations will be a wonderful addition to those.”
