Dene Holm Celebrates Christmas Jumper Day

Staff and residents of Dene Holm Residential Care Home in Northfleet, celebrated Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 11th December by wearing and eating theirs!

Whilst the traditional activity on Christmas Jumper Day is to wear your most sparkly festive attire, staff and residents at the Dene Holm Road care home received a kind delivery from the local Morrisons store, meaning they could eat theirs too.

Friend of the home, Chris, who works at the Coldharbour Road store and regularly drops off flowers for the residents’ flower arranging activities, made an exciting delivery of Christmas jumper gingerbread biscuits to the home on Friday.

Armed with plenty of icing and decorations, the residents enjoyed spending a morning adorning their biscuit jumpers with pretty patterns and festive embellishments, before sampling them with a cup of tea.

Lea-Ann Shaw, Activity Coordinator at Dene Holm said: “Chris from Morrisons has been delivering flowers for us for a while now, which we are always very grateful for, so the gesture of bringing the biscuits over was very well received by all of us here at Dene Holm.

“We had a lovely morning decorating the biscuits to make them look like festive jumpers, so thank you to Chris and the team at Morrisons for continuing to support us.”
