Gravesend Care Home Residents Spruce up Home for Christmas

Residents of Edward Moore House Residential Care Home in Gravesend got into the Christmas spirit by decking the halls this week.

With Christmas creeping up rather quickly, residents of the Trinity Road care home got together on 1st December to get their home ready for the upcoming festivities.

Armed with plenty of tinsel and baubles and an abundance of Christmas spirit, the residents spent the afternoon making the dining room Christmas tree look merry and bright.

Whilst a Christmas playlist played in the background, everyone got into the festive mood, as they chatted about their favourite Christmas traditions and the celebrations of the years gone by.

Melanie Martin, Deputy Manager of Edward Moore House said: “We all know that Christmas isn’t quite what we’d hoped for this year, but it is really important for us to make it fun and enjoyable for our residents and staff, as much as we can, by doing the little things that we can still do.

“Putting the trees up really signals the start of the season for us and we’re looking forward to lots of Christmas activities and festive fun over the coming weeks.”
