Care Home Residents Stop and Smell the Roses
Summer isn’t over just yet for residents at Rogers House Residential Care Home, as they’ve been enjoying a spot of flower arranging, courtesy of a local charity.
We all love fresh flowers, the lovely evocative smell and the beautiful soft colours never fail to make us smile, so residents at our Wigmore residential care home were overjoyed when a local charity kindly donated an abundance of beautiful flowers for them to use for their craft morning.
The table was filled with plenty of stunning lilies and roses, in wonderful shades of pink and cream. The residents had a lovely morning arranging their bouquets and displaying them in their rooms, bringing some much needed colour to what has turned out to be a rather gloomy week.
Jackie Miles, Home Manager of Rogers House said: “We’re very grateful to the charity for donating these lovely flowers, they really do bring such joy to the residents, as they can not only enjoy arranging them, they can also enjoy looking at them once they’re displayed.”
