Barnes Lodge Brings Beach Vibes
Barnes Lodge care home in Tuedely Lane, Tonbridge, have truly got into the summer spirit by creating a lovely Beach display within the window of their ‘street’, which is situated within the stunning home. The home is always coming up with new, fun activities to do with residents, and gaining some inspiration from the fabulous summer weather we have been having lately, a wonderful display of items such as crabs, shells and spades were created and displayed.
Kay, Activities Coordinator at Barnes Lodge said: “I really don’t know how I came up with the idea, but with all the sunshine we have been having it seemed like a fun thing to have us all do, the residents really loved and enjoy walking past the bright, creative window. We are happy with whatever we do, but who doesn’t smile when they are thinking of the beach!”
Nicky Pett, Home Manager at Barnes Lodge commented: “It was so nice to see the residents laughing and smiling as they created little sea creatures, the display has been really admired, the staff have enjoyed stopping and peering in as well, it was a great idea and a lot of fun.”
