Gravesend Care Staff are Quarantine Queens for Glamour Day
In a bid to lift spirits and inject a bit of sparkle into the current difficult situation, staff of Watling Court Extra Care Housing Scheme hosted ‘Glamour Day’.
Most of us haven’t been able to get dressed up in our best partywear for quite a few weeks now, so staff at Watling Court Extra Care Housing Scheme decided to put on their best gladrags and add a bit of glamour to their regular working day, in a bid to cheer everyone up.
Wearing their finest fancy dresses and their most dazzling hairstyles, the ladies had flowers in their hair and jewels on their faces as they went about their work, providing care and support for the residents, who were delighted to see them looking so fabulous.
Some of the senior staff also brought in some treats for the rest of the team, including face masks, eye masks, hand and foot creams, false nails and chocolates, so they could enjoy a relaxing evening of pampering when they got home.
Belinda Law, Area Domiciliary Care Manager for Rapport Housing & Care said: “I think we all miss getting dressed up and feeling good at the moment so the team at Watling Court decided to host ‘Glamour Day’, so we could all look and feel our best.
“The residents loved seeing the team all dressed up, it really brightened their day. We’re hoping to do it again next week with a red, white and blue theme for the VE Day anniversary.”
