Former Employee Supports Gravesend Care Home
Maggie Town, a former employee of Rapport Housing & Care, has been rallying around Edward Moore House Residential Care Home, to encourage donations for residents and staff.
In times of crisis, we all come together to support one another, and this is definitely something we’ve witnessed over the past few difficult weeks, as donations, gifts, food and letters have made their way to our residents and staff.
Maggie, who worked with the organisation for many years prior to retiring, still had our residents on her mind during this difficult time and wanted to do more to help our homes.
In addition to buying and delivering eggs over the Easter weekend, she has also been campaigning for donations from the local community, encouraging donors to drop off activity items, such as colouring books and craft items and toiletries, incredibly helpful for limiting visits to the shops.
Melanie Martin, Deputy Manager of Edward Moore House said: “We’re so grateful to Maggie for all that she has done over the past few weeks. Despite being retired, she is still thinking of us all and we’re really thankful for that.
“We are all working really hard to try to keep things as normal as possible for the residents and it’s things like this that keep us going, thank you Maggie!”
