Paddock Wood Home Finds Kindness in the Community
During the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, Margaret Fisher House Supported Home in Paddock Wood have been lucky enough to experience exceptional kindness and generosity.
As the pandemic spiraled, the housekeeper of the home was contacted by the local Waitrose store, who have continued to offer support and kindness, as well as donating lots of shopping to the not for profit home, which supports older people to live independently.
As well as donating grocery items, toilet rolls, soaps and more, the store also kindly sent the residents some jam sponge cakes (their favourite) and invited the housekeeper to shop directly from the warehouse, ensuring she can get all the residents need whilst distancing.
Carmel Belshaw, Housekeeper of Margaret Fisher House said: “The staff at Waitrose have been so kind, ensuring the residents have all they need in these difficult times. I was struggling to get my usual online shopping for their meals, so the offer to shop directly from the warehouse is so kind and a real relief, knowing we have what we need. I’d like to say a big thank you to Waitrose for their support.”
