Kind Locals Support Tonbridge Care Home
Residents and staff of Barnes Lodge Care Home have been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of the local community during the ongoing pandemic.
With the situation with Coronavirus continuing to prove difficult for everyone, in particular care providers, staff and residents of the Tudeley Lane care home in Tonbridge have been inundated with kindness and support from local businesses and people.
This week, Pavillion Flowers of Tonbridge sent an abundance of beautiful bouquets to residents, which they enjoyed arranging and displaying around the home and in their rooms. Not forgetting staff, a local lady, Maxine, sent in a box of goodies for the staff, including lots of beauty products and chocolates.
In addition to the above, residents have also received cards, letters and drawings from local school children and friends of the home, Bishop Chavasse Primary School.
Nicky Pett, General Manager of Barnes Lodge said: “We have been completely overwhelmed with the kindness of the local community in the past couple of weeks, we’re living in such a difficult time and everyone is doing their best, so we really appreciated the local people thinking of us.
“In particular, it was lovely for the staff to receive some gifts, as they really are doing an incredible job, day in, day out.”
