Gravesend Residents Spread the Love

Residents of Edward Moore House Residential Care Home got into the romantic spirit of Valentine’s Day, baking and decorating some homemade biscuits.

Love was in the air this week as residents of the Trinity Road residential care enjoyed their weekly baking activity with a theme, making and decorating biscuits for Valentine’s Day.

Armed with their rolling pins and plenty of pink icing, the creative residents spent a morning baking heart-shaped shortbread biscuits, then decorating them with pink and red icing. Once finished, they were able to relax and unwind, and sample their treats with a cuppa.

Chris Hutchinson, General Manager of Edward Moore House said: “Our residents really enjoy their weekly baking activity, they often try recipes that they would have used when cooking for their families, so it is a really nostalgic activity.

“Everyone really enjoyed baking the shortbread and particularly sampling it, what could be better than tucking into a warm buttery biscuit on a stormy day!”
