Love is in the air at Canterbury Care Home
Residents of Connors House Residential Care Home proved you’re never too old for romance, as they enjoyed a Valentine’s Day afternoon tea on Friday 14th February.
Staff ensured it was an unforgettable Valentine’s Day for residents, as they decorated the home’s conservatory with plenty of red roses and heart-shaped balloons, ready for a special celebration.
The table was set with the finest china and loved ones, partners, family and friends were invited to join the occasion. The cake stands were filled with plenty of sweet and savoury treats, including sausage rolls, heart shaped shortbread biscuits and beautifully decorated cupcakes, along with plenty of tea, of course.
Residents and their guests tucked into the delicious delicacies on offer and spent the afternoon enjoying the ambience and chatting to one another.
Christine Devlin, General Manager of Connors House said: “We always like to make the most of celebrations like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, as it gives our residents the opportunity to get together with their loved ones and enjoy some real quality time.
“Everyone had a lovely afternoon at the afternoon tea and we’re all looking forward to the next celebration!”
