Care Home Residents Enjoy Craft with a Heart

Residents of Dene Holm Residential Care Home got into the spirit of Valentine’s Day, by getting together to craft some handmade decorations.

Ahead of the upcoming romantic celebration, the group of artistic residents got together at their regular craft club and spent a morning fashioning their very own decorations.

The crafty residents made plenty of heart decorations in various shades of reds and pinks, which once finished, they used to adorn the home, brightening up the corridors and bringing a spot of romance to their environment.

Chris Hutchinson, General Manager of Dene Holm said: “Our residents really enjoy their craft activities, so this week, we thought we’d do something around Valentine’s Day.

“Although it’s not something older people particularly celebrate, it was a good talking point and the residents enjoyed sharing stories about their loves ones.”
