Creative Residents Enjoy Crafty Christmas

Residents of Rogers House Residential Care Home enjoyed some creative Christmas activities this week, when they got together to make salt dough decorations.

Armed with their cookie cutters and rolling pins, residents of the Drewery Drive residential care home embraced some seasonal crafts this week, making ornaments with salt dough.

The artistic residents got together in the activity room and spent the morning making and rolling their dough, then cutting and shaping into various festive creations.

Once baked and cooled, the residents finished their decorations with a lick of paint, left them to dry and hung them around the home to complement the other decorations and many trees.

Jackie Miles, Home Manager of Rogers House said: “Our residents really enjoy their artistic activities, so they had a great time getting stuck into this challenge. They were overjoyed with the end result and their decorations looked wonderful!”
