Beckenham Residents Enjoy Early Christmas Lunch
Residents of David Baxter House, Rapport Housing & Care’s supported home in Beckenham, got together to celebrate Christmas early with a traditional lunch and all the trimmings.
Celebrating Christmas early because everyone goes home for the big day, the residents got together on Wednesday 11th December to enjoy a traditional festive lunch together, with their Rapport Housing & Care family.
The residents tucked into a tasty homemade three-course lunch, including a starter of soup or classic prawn cocktail, followed by traditional turkey with all the trimmings. Their final course was sherry trifle or Christmas pudding, but that wasn’t all, as the home’s Housekeeper, Tracy, ensured they were well and truly spoilt, as their meal ended with mince pies and coffee. Everyone had a great afternoon, enjoying a tipple or two and having a natter about their plans for Christmas.
Carol Bishop, Housing Officer at Rapport Housing & Care said: “In Rapport Housing & Care homes, we are proud to embrace and promote a community atmosphere and a family environment, so we felt it was important to enjoy a pre-Christmas meal together, before everyone goes their separate ways on Christmas Day. Everyone had a lovely afternoon and is now looking forward to the big day!”
