Canterbury Residents Have Grate Time at Cheese & Wine Night

A cosy evening was on the cards at Connors House Residential Care Home in Canterbury on Saturday 19th October, when residents and their guests were invited to a cheese and wine night.

With the dark and chilly evenings drawing in, residents of the Craddock Road residential care home invited their family and friends to join a fundraising cheese and wine evening.

Indulging in an array of delicious cheeses and wines, including grapes from their very own garden, residents and their guests enjoyed an evening of socialising, just like going out to a restaurant for the evening.

In total, the evening raised £55 for the residents’ amenities fund, which contributes to outings for the residents.

Christine Devlin, Home Manager of Connors House said: “Our cheese and wine evening was a great success, everyone commented on what a lovely time they had, so we are hoping to do it again soon.

“For some of our residents, who may not be able to easily get out and about, it gives them the opportunity to have a restaurant experience, whilst enjoying quality time with their loved ones.”
