Larkfield Residents Enjoy Fish and Chips in Paradise

Celebrating the final summer days, residents of Lawson House Extra Care Housing Scheme were invited to enjoy the caterer’s latest special event, fish and chips in paradise.

With a delicious Friday favourite, fish and chips on the menu, the Martin Square scheme’s restaurant was adorned with inflatable palm trees and Hawaiian bunting for the special occasion as the residents gathered together for lunch.

Soaking up the holiday atmosphere, the hungry residents tucked into their fish and chip lunch, followed by ice cream cones for dessert.

The scheme’s caterers, Catering Academy, regularly hold special events, for example, a strawberries and cream afternoon tea for Wimbledon or hot dogs on Bonfire Night. They always go down very well with residents and provide a great chance for everyone to get together and interact.

Jil Stanley, Housing Officer at Lawson House commented: “The restaurant service here is a really big part of Lawson House, it enables the residents to get together daily and gives them the opportunity to socialise and get to know one another. The special events are always great fun and a big boost to our community atmosphere!”
